Join LA Cinema in November for a screening of director Jacques Audiard’s acclaimed western The Sisters Brothers.
It’s 1851 and Charlie and Eli Sisters are both brothers and assassins, boys grown to men in a savage and hostile world. The Sisters Brothers find themselves on a journey through the northwest, bringing them to the mountains of Oregon, a dangerous brothel in the small town of Mayfield and eventually, the gold rush land of California – an adventure that tests the deadly family ties that bind.
The Sisters Brothers stars John C. Reilly (who also produced), Joaquin Phoenix, Jake Gillenhaal and Riz Ahmed.
The screening takes place on Saturday, November 16th at Long Ashton Community Hall. Doors, bar and DVD Filmbank open from 19:00pm and the film starts at 20:00pm. Before the film screens there will be trailers for future LA Cinema showings and a short film, which will be followed by an intermission. The film is a 15 rating, so no one under that age will be admitted entry.
