Beat the January ‘blues’ with an upbeat screening of the comedy-drama Blinded by the Light.

Screening at Long Ashton Community Centre on Saturday, January 18th, 2020.  Doors and bar open at 19:00 and the film starts 20:00pm and includes forthcoming LA Cinema attractions and a short film.

The film is classified a 12A and admission is £5.00 Adults and £2.50 Children (15 and under).  The LA Cinema ‘Brews Brothers Bar’ will be fully stocked with the finest sweet and salted popcorn and beers, ciders, wines, soft beverages and teas and coffees.

Blinded By the Light (12A):-

Inspired by the life of journalist Sarfraz Manzoor and his love of the music of Bruce Springsteen.  Blinded by the Light is set in Thatcherite Britain in 1987 and is a coming-of-age story of Javed, a British-Pakistani Muslim teenager, whose life is changed after he discovers the music of Bruce Springsteen.  Viveik Kalra stars in the lead role, along with Hayley Atwell, Rob Brydon, Kulvinder Ghir and Nell Williams.  Gurinder Chadha directs (Bhaji on the Beach, Bend It Like Beckham and Bride and Prejudice).
