We’re very proud to say that almost 100 people attended the screening of Whiplash on the 11th July. This is an audience that many established community cinemas can only dream of!
The whole event went more smoothly than we could have hoped for and the atmosphere was just amazing. Whiplash was a great first choice for LA Cinema and it really demonstrated that the village hall is going to be a great venue for screenings.
Thanks to Karin and the team for all of their efforts – many hours of planning and preparation went into the first screening and it really paid off. We’ll be posting an introduction to the team soon so that you know who’s who when you see us again.
Thanks also to Chris Baker for setting up and running the projection equipment and to Brian Clay for guidance in setting up the community cinema.
Finally – thank you so much to all those who came along to see the film. We’re committed to making LA Cinema a real community venture so you are what it’s all about.
What a great start for LA Cinema!
See you all at the next screening – keep checking back on the website or Facebook as we’ll be announcing the next screening dates soon.
